The principal of London’s controversial pound;31 million Paddington academy is resigning for health reasons. Barbi Goulding told staff on Wednesday evening that she would leave in August. Mrs Goulding’s year in charge has been dogged by delays to the academy’s new building. Karen Buck, a Labour MP, withdrew her 12-year-old son from the 1,025-pupil school last year, saying it was “completely unfit for purpose”.
