The Association for College Management (ACM) has voted to merge with the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL). In the ballot of 3,500 ACM members, 88 per cent of the 910 members who voted were in favour of merger while 12 per cent were against. ACM members will be represented by an independent section, the Association of Managers in Education. The formal merger will take place on 11 January, 2011.
