The Executive believes Sportscotland is on target to achieve fitness goals for young people by 2007. But a parliamentary answer from Patricia Ferguson, Sports Minister, revealed that one requirement - that 85 per cent of 13-17 year-olds should take part in extra-curricular sport more than once a week - stood at just 72 per cent in 2003-04.
