Labour peer and former schools minister Lord Adonis has become a trustee of education charity The Transformation Trust. The trust supports extra-curricular activities in schools in the some of the most disadvantaged parts of England and helps more than 500 schools. Lord Adonis said: “The work of charities like the Transformation Trust is crucial in helping to bridge the social mobility gap that is present in so many of our schools across the state sector.”
