ARGENTINA: A local archbishop has ordered a Catholic school, Our Lady of Pompeii secondary in the city of Corrientes, to temporarily re-hire three teachers who were fired for being married to divorced men, following a national campaign against the dismissals.
The three women had all informed the school authorities of their marital situation when applying for the posts more than seven years ago. But the school’s new administrator accused them of “living in adultery”. Full story: www.tes.co.uk
