Adults flock to IT courses

Care and information technology were the most popular subjects studied by 260,960 learners in Welsh FE colleges last year, according to Assembly government statistics. Among the under-20s, young men outnumbered women - but women made up nearly 60 per cent of all FE students. Eighty-five per cent of students were studying part-time. Only 0.4 per cent of learning was all in Welsh.
