Age has nothing to do with aptitude

I received an alert this morning for a job as head of ICT at an academy. I was appalled by wording: “Time for excitement. You’re geared-up, ready to fly and head-up the action. It’s early in your career, and time to join.”

Clearly the implication is that they are seeking a younger candidate. It’s time for job agencies to check their legal position (it is four years since the Discrimination Act of 2006).
