Exciting news from the Training and Development Agency for Schools, whose latest press release is headed: “Bursar guidance published as their numbers in schools double.” Closer reading reveals that numbers in schools have increased from 4,000 in 1997 to, er, 6,800 today. Bit more training required... in maths. Maybe they should enlist a bursar to do it.
