OUR governing body has fallen from its once high standards of teamwork. Some members appointed in the past couple of years haven’t got the right idea, and get us all into trouble with their indiscretions - for example, trying to take up problems on their own, upsetting the teachers by checking up on them, and organising questionnires without proper authority.
Our chair is great, but tired and relies on his good relationship with the head to get us by. A lot of things get sewn up before meetings and not properly discussed. A few of us do most of the work. We old hands get impatient when others waste time or get the wrong end of the stick.
