Children from the school attended by a 13-year-old pupil who was raped and murdered while on a visit to Brittany have been issued with personal alarms for a field trip.

Eleven pupils and a teacher from Launceston College, Cornwall, are on a week’s geography course. It is the first residential course run for the pupils since Caroline Dickinson was killed in a hostel room she was sharing with four other girls at Pleine-Fougres in July.
