What the lesson is about

This collection is made up of lesson plans covering all subject areas and age groups. The plans can not only save you precious time, but also provide great sources of inspiration for classes.

Getting started

For English teachers, asadler79 has shared a number of activities based on the works of Roald Dahl that encourage descriptive writing, in addition to a comprehensive lesson plan. One of the most popular resources in the English section is the Poetry Archive, compiled by the TES Resource Team. This contains a number of lesson plans and activity ideas suitable for key stages 3 and 4 (S1-3 and S4-6), and A-level students. Key poets such as Philip Larkin, Sylvia Plath and TS Eliot are featured, as well as the themes of identity, violence and childhood.

Maths teachers wanting to make use of the interactive whiteboard will find Davem195‘s resource helpful. This includes 50 interactive mathematics lessons that have been converted from the “standards unit box”. Topics include statistics, calculus and algebra, with activities suitable for all secondary-level groups.

Taking it further

DJ_Skoolio has supplied a lesson plan and PowerPoint presentation, suitable for geography and design and technology. This lesson looks at consumer choices and how they affect others around the world, specifically mobile phones and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The collection also includes lesson plans for science, French, history, ICT, music, physical education, PSE and religious education, which can help you save time planning.
