The North Lanarkshire Rams won the first five-on-five kitted tournament at Holyrood Sports Centre in Glasgow, ahead of the Inverclyde Raiders and Craigmount Cougars.

The Scottish Claymores’ grassroots co-ordinator believes it was another significant step towards developing American football Scotland.

“For too long, children have struggled to make the transition from playing five-on-five flag football to the full game,” says Jim Burns. “This kitted version introduces tackling and running as the key steps in the progression.”
