Scottish schoolchildren have filled half of the 16 places in the Great Britain team for this weekend’s European Junior Flag Football Championships in Bologne, Italy. The team is competing in both junior (12-15 years) and cadet (under-12) events.

Scotland’s strong representation can be attributed to solid coaching and a co-ordinated programme from the Scottish Flag Football Association.

“It hasn’t taken long to see the fruits of the coaching staff’s efforts,” says Mark Fletcher of the SFFA. “Everyone at the SFFA would like to take this opportunity to thank the Scottish Development Squad coaching staff and players for their time and effort and the Scottish Claymores for their support and advice over the past 12 months.”
