Now she is the winner of the Edexcel exam board’s student of the year award. Steven Hastings, who writes for TES Friday magazine, was one of two runners-up for the Edexcel education journalist of the year award. Judges said his articles in ‘The Issue’
series - on subjects as diverse as media relations and teacher housing - came a ‘close second’ alongside BBC journalist and TES columnist Mike Baker. The award was won by freelance journalist Wendy Berliner. Photograph by ANNA GORDON
