They are becoming rather a dull lot at yoonie these days, judging by the press release from Edinburgh university students’ association. As more than a quarter of students are over 25 - Margery scrapes into that category - activities are changing.

“Rather than simply concentrating on cheap booze and cheesy music, the programme includes over 200 daytime events - everything from tours of the Central Mosque and the Scottish Parliament to coffee crawls, theatre workshops, political debates, trips to Portobello beach, and even a teddy bears’ picnic for students with children,” it blurts.

No wonder Margery was saying little about it. She has been warned, however, that students graduate with pound;16,000 debts. Must be the price of all those cappuccinos.
