Anger over post-16 funding change

Post-16 providers are angry about a “last-minute” alteration to their funding allocation for 201112. The Assembly government has set aside the National Planning and Funding System and introduced three-year budgets to provide “stability”. But some further education colleges and schools with sixth-forms say the move is unexpected and will leave them out of pocket as allocations are based on out-of-date student data.
