The old Hollywood motto “Never work with children and animals” is turned upside down in a new set of online resources. The Masterfoods website is full of materials for primary pupils about pets. They download quickly, offering many convenient worksheets for core subjects and PHSE. The ideas are reassuringly useful rather than startlingly original - choosing names for a hamster or adjectives to describe varieties of cat, calculating the dimensions of a rabbit hutch, drawing the circuit diagram for the heating and lighting system of a fish-tank. But the accompanying messages about cleanliness, companionship and responsibility are always repeatable. Further materials such as pet posters can also be ordered via this site. www.educationzone.mypetstop.co.uk
