Scottish pupils are celebrating another record year for exam results, published this week.

The pass rate for highers, similar to A-levels, has risen by just over one percentage point to 70.7 per cent. And the pass rate for standard grades, which are equivalent to GCSEs, rose 0.4 points to 97.2 per cent
