The Antarctic Schools pack, produced by the British Antarctic Survey and the Foreign and CommonwealthOffice, and sent free to all secondary schools in March, is joint winner of the GA’s coveted Gold Award. It’s full of up-to-date material on climate change, the ozone hole, ecosystems and environmental issues and is soon to be followed by a free video charting Antarctica from the explorations of Scott and Shackleton to today’s scientists.
