Anxiety attack

I would like to point out to you that there seems to be a mistake in the article ”‘I before E’ rule: file it under ‘U’ for Useless, says guidance” (June 19). It states: “Without that extra knowledge, the rule breaks down, so ‘eight’, ‘feisty’, ‘foreign’ and ‘anxiety’ are all spelt ‘ei’.” Looking at the word, anxiety is clearly not spelt with an “ei”.
