West Nottinghamshire College is launching a recruitment service to place more than 2,500 apprentices over the next three years. Vision Apprentices, launching tomorrow, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of the college and one of 12 organisations in the country to receive a share of pound;7 million of government funding to set up an Apprenticeship Training Association (ATA). Specialising in manufacturing, engineering and maintenance apprenticeships for 16- to 18-year-olds, it will screen and employ candidates before placing them with employers.
