One of the more intriguing and unheralded mid-season transfers appears to be the switch of Saltcoats, Stevenson and Ardrossan to a new council team.
A press release from HMI on community learning in the Three Towns, as they are known locally, manages to place them in North Lanarkshire, the country’s highest-performing landlocked authority, if you go by HMI’s indicators.
