Army's guide to human rights

THE Army has produced citizenship materials to teach teenagers about human rights. Secondary schools will have to teach citizenship from September. Insurance companies, animal rights groups, cosmetic manufacturers and religious organisations have all published material for lessons. The Army has produced a free programme which uses soldiers' experiences in Kosovo to teach human rights issues. There is also the opportunity for Army personnel to visit schools and share their own peace-keeping stories with pupils.
