Any person aged 15-25 who is living, working or studying in Scotland and has an outstanding ability as an artist, performer or writer may be eligible for a Dewar Arts Award.
The Dewar Arts Awards trust has been set up by the Scottish Executive to help talented young Scots who may not be able to afford to fulfil personal ambitions in the arts.
Individual applications cannot be accepted but candidates can be nominated by a tutor, employer or other professional assessor, who should send details of the nominee with any relevant material. Nominators can also be friends, families or colleagues of the young person.
Shortlisted candidates will have their work assessed by professionals in their chosen field and asked to attend an informal interview.
