The Scottish Parliament’s education committee has issued a call for people to submit evidence to it as it scrutinises stage one of the Autism (Scotland) Bill, introduced by the Liberal Democrat MSP Hugh O’Donnell.
The MSP for Central Scotland is seeking to place a duty on the Scottish Government to produce a strategy for meeting the needs of children and adults in Scotland with autistic spectrum conditions, through improving the provision of relevant services by local authorities and National Health Service bodies.
