Assembly cracks down on bus safety

School transport providers could face a raft of strict safety regulations after Assembly members approved new legislation. All passenger seats on school transport vehicles must now have seatbelts fitted, and in future the government could require providers to use CCTV and employ supervisors for primary pupil transport.
