Easter

With the Easter holidays days away, talk students through one of the biggest events in the Christian calendar and explain the importance to many of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Using TES partner TrueTube’s assembly pack, begin by asking students what their first thought is when they hear the word Easter. Eggs, chocolate, the Easter Bunny and holidays will probably be the most common answers. But hopefully someone will mention Jesus.

Show them TrueTube’s film Sacrifice and ask them what sacrifice has to do with Easter. Coax out - or be ready to deliver - the answer that Christians remember how Jesus sacrificed his life for the good of all humankind, and then rose from the dead.
