Assistant anomaly;Letter

I HAVE worked for 25 years in education. I am an NNEB-qualified, trained nursery nurse in a reception class, and agree that we classroom assistants are not given recognition for the work we do.

The workload and expectations have grown but at the end of the month I receive pound;605.

A proper pay structure is needed. Some classroom assistants are unqualified, so surely there should be a distinction in our pay or we should all now have to have a qualification.
