Interest in schools athletics is as high as ever, judging by entries for the indoor championships. A total of 687 athletes from 180 schools attended from across Scotland.
Eilidh Child of Kinross High and Kim Skinner of Larbert High were both honoured for their outstanding achievements in 2003 when they were presented with the Gordon Woodlands Scholarships at the Scottish Schools Athletic Association Indoor Championships in Glasgow earlier this month. Both athletes broke British schools' records last July, Eilidh in the hurdles and Kim in the pole vault.
