Gordon Woodlands, supporters of Scottish schools athletics, has come to the rescue for the schools pentathlon home international at Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall on December 14.

Wales had said it could not attend due to lack of finances and the Scottish Schools Athletic Association was planning to make it a three-way international. But Gordon Woodlands has made up the shortfall for the Welsh team, believed to be several hundred pounds, to make sure the event goes ahead as normal.
