Athletics Scotland will host England, Ireland and Wales in the annual schools’ international cross country races in Ayr on April 3.

Eilish McColgan (Dundee High), daughter of former world 10,000m champion Liz, is expected to be among the frontrunners in the Under-15 race. A total of 1,750 athletes from 150 schools entered the Scottish Schools’ Cross Country Championships in Irvine earlier this month, which showed participation is still high at schools level.
