Collette Fagan (St Patrick’s High, Coatbridge), who won the European Junior 110m hurdles title last August, has received a pound;500 grant from the Gordon Woodlands Limited National Scholarship.

The first athlete ever in Scottish school sports to win all Scottish Schools’ Cross Country titles from P7 to Over-17, Collette also won the 1500m and 3000m titles at the Scottish Track and Field Championships before winning a Great Britain junior vest. Chris Baillie, who left Clydebank High last summer, was also awarded pound;500.
