Attack was ill-informed

I would have been more impressed listening to David Starkey "blast" history teaching at the history in education conference if I felt he had actually been in a classroom in recent years.

To say, as he did, that children cannot learn about the past from documents is nonsense; they can and they do. If he would care to get in touch with me, I'll show him how it's done.
