Perth and Kinross has teamed up with the privately run New School at Butterstone to improve services for children with attention deficit disorders. Bill Colley, head of the school, believes controversy over the use of drug treatments has obscured some of the issues.

“The more we discover about learning disorders, the more we realise just how much more there is to find out,” Mr Colley said. “We are just scratching the tip of a very big iceberg.”
