Australia: School students’ examination results could suffer if they smoke marijuana to relax, the Australian Medical Assocation has warned.

The association said most young people were probably unaware that short-term memory loss could persist for four weeks after a single cannabis-smoking session. The chair of the assocation’s cannabis education working party, Dr Dana Wainwright, said the AMA was moving to educate young people about the drug to counter misinformation.
