HENRY FORD EUROPEAN CONSERVATION AWARDS
The overall winner for 1999 is British Waterways for its Millennium Link project to restore a number of Scotland’s canals to coast-to-coast navigation. The winner of the Youth Project section is Warren Park primary school, Havant, for creating a “Hampshire Wood and Trails” experience at the school, located in Leigh Park, Europe’s largest council estate.
