For the third year running, staff at South Hunsley school, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, spent most of September unpacking and sorting their resources after yet another round of summer building work, writes geography teacher Janet Hutson. This year, as an added extra, they returned to find their laptops had been stolen, builders had cut the internet connection, and shelving in the new book store did not line up.Were they daunted? “Well, just a bit,” she says. To help cheer them up we’re sending them a month’s supply of Yorkshire Tea and deliciously spicy Yorkshire Tea Ginger Cake, worth around pound;80, from Bettys and Taylors.
