The PTA raffle at Kingsbridge community college in Devon was well wicked this year, as some of the Staines Massive dropped “wiv dere Julies” to boost ticket sales. Principal Roger Pope explains that a promotional video for the raffle featured staff members dressed up as Ali G, complete with raps and authentic “Is it cos I is a teacher?” accents. He says the result has brought hoots of laughter in assemblies, and the staff’s sporting behaviour is sure to help raise great amounts for the school and local charities. What can we say but booyakasha!

We hope they enjoy this week’s staffroom treat from Bettys and Taylors, a box full of festive cakes, including delicious mince pies, golden cherry and ginger cake, spicy Advent cakes, chocolate and orange panettone and a traditional continental stollen.

Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms is a Yorkshire institution, famous for its refreshing teas and handmade cakes. When you can’t visit Bettys in person, their Bettys by post Fresh from the Oven range is the next best thing. For more information: www.bettysandtaylors.co.uk.

If you and your colleagues deserve a treat, let us know why. Send your message, including your full name and the address of your school, marked staffroom treats offer, by email or post to the address on the right.
