Midland Bank is launching the 1998 Fellowship Scheme, which will offer 60 ethnic-minority students paid work experience over the summer holiday. The decision to expand the programme, an extension of the bank’s graduate training scheme, comes after research evidence showing that work experience during college improves employment prospects for ethnic-minority students on graduation.
