Paisley and District Basketball Association and Edinburgh shared the honours at the Clydesdale Bank Primary Schools Inter Area Championships at Meadowbank.
Paisley won the boys’ event, beating Edinburgh 33-21 in the decisive game, but Edinburgh beat Paisley in the girls’ tournament 35-20 to clinch the title.
East Lothian finished third in both events, with six areas competing in each section. Dundee, weakened by the fact there was a clash with a youth event in its area, finished fourth in both the boys’ and girls’ event.
