Moviemakers in primary and secondary schools were celebrating at the recent Creativity in Digital Video Awards, organised by the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (Becta). Their video “movies” had to be either less than two minutes long, or between two and five minutes, and all had to be “imaginative and linked to the curriculum”.The awards will be promoted nationally by 4Learning (the education arm of Channel 4), and the winners get a digital video learning kit eMac computer with iMovie2 software and a Canon digital camcorder from sponsors, Apple and Canon UK Limited. For more information email creativityawards@becta.org.uk. And check out the awards website to find out more about the winners and see some of their movies.
