In response to the CPS report, I would like to point out that in the 2007 annual report produced by the Teachers TV board of governors, the average cost per viewer per programme in 2007 decreased by a third on the previous year. This figure will have further fallen given that the DCSF funding for Teachers TV has decreased by 38 per cent since then.

Despite this, Teachers TV is continuing to produce more resources for the professional development of the education workforce, enabling them to broaden their skills, develop their practice and communicate with others in the field.

Since its launch, more than 3,000 programmes have been commissioned. The Teachers TV website had more than 2 million unique visitors in 2008 and has more than 250,000 registered users. Teachers TV is an invaluable resource for any education professional.
