Behaviour can be a bother

Steve Harris (“Subtle changes can make a difference”, Professional, 19 July) draws our attention to the question of the desperation of classroom teachers with poor student behaviour.

The fact that such behaviour is constantly discussed indicates that no definitive solution has been produced. I strongly suggest that none ever will be, other than saying, “It depends on the facts of the case”. Classroom teachers are waiting for “experts” to show them how it should be done by their personal classroom examples. Experience tells me that they are all unavailable.
