Education and training must be tailored to fit the often complicated and dysfunctional lives of those not in employment, education or training, new research reveals. It is an early finding from research carried out by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education. Speaking on Monday at a seminar organised by LSIS, John Hayes, the skills minister, invited delegates to suggest additional freedoms for colleges and learning providers to help do more for Neets.
