Prunella Scales and Barrie Rutter, wearing director’s hats, are participating in a “Teaching Shakespeare” workshop on March 24-25 at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, organised with Leeds LEA. Also contributing are: Jude Kelly, WYP artistic director, and Neil Bartlett, Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith, who is directing WYP’s forthcoming Romeo and Juliet the way it would have been performed in Shakespeare’s day with “12 performers, five knives, one rope ladder and an empty stage”.
