Learning will have a higher profile at the annual BETT Show, at Olympia, London, next year (January 11-14, 2006). The BETT seminar programme will include a special BectaTES ICT Good Practice Day on Thursday 12. Events on the day include the Becta keynote, “Improving standards, improving school culture - people and technology working together” by the headteacher of Wood Green High School College of Sport, Dame Enid Bibby, and the presentation of Becta’s ICT in Practice Awards. Professor Tim Brighouse (pictured) and John Davitt will deliver the TES keynote, “How teachers change their practice to change the world”, followed by presentations from three ICT award winners doing just that, including Tim Rylands, of Chew Magna School, near Bristol (see page 24).
