Recently launched by Save the Children and British Gas, the Help Yourselves website is aimed at young people, particularly in low income areas of the UK. There is advice and support for visitors to the site to become actively involved in improving the quality of life; they can submit proposals for making their community a better place to live (closing date October 7). Proposals must cover one of the following areas - health, development of skills through play and leisure, or safety in the community.
The successful projects will receive up to pound;1,000.
