‘Big Brother’ goes to uni

A family is preparing to move into a hi-tech house where they will spend six months being monitored in a Big Brother-style project.

Nick and Sue Parnell, both 42, and their daughters Lucy, 16, and Hazel, 13, will have their every move followed by researchers from Nottingham university, who are studying how families use and live in their homes.

Mrs Parnell, who is a teacher at Sheffield girls’ high school, said that her family is looking forward to becoming human guinea pigs for the study.
