IN last week’s TES (“MPS warn schools face further cuts next year”), figures about increases in spending were confused. Increases reported as 2.7 and 1.4 per cent this year and next respectively should in fact have read as cash increases of pound;2.7 billion and pound;1.4bn. The actual percentage increases in funding are 3.7 and 2.6 per cent respectively.
