Bilston instills democracy skills

BILSTON Community College is enrolling politicians from the Crimea on a 14-month programme to teach democratic leadership skills.

Political leaders from the former Soviet republic will visit the West Midlands college to study the British, Finnish and Danish political systems as possible models for the emerging democracy in the Crimea, which is disputed by Russia and the Ukraine.

The course is being financed by the European Union's Democracy programme.
